£18,000 raised for charity in 2017

At Eden Square we do our best to support the local community and assist with fundraising activities. Throughout 2017 almost £18,000 was raised by charities here at Eden Square.

We helped busking group Loose Change Buskers hit their target of raising £400,000 for Cancer Research UK. Almost £150,000 of which was raised in just the past 18 months. A familiar sight around the Urmston area, the Loose Change Buskers were formed in 2010 by Timperley and Altrincham musicians Bernard Dolan and John Fogel to boost donations to Cancer Research UK. The group has since grown to over 30 members who perform most weekends around the borough to raise money.

Marie Curie UK raised £1167.89 at Eden Square for their Great Daffodil Appeal in 2017 and our support of Paint Urmston Pink in association with Urmston Partnership helped raise £4,800 for Prevent Breast Cancer.

We will be continuing to support a variety of charities throughout 2018.
